The fishing this fall has been great. Just came in from another fantastic evening of fishing. There is a lot of fun working topwater lures for rockfish this time of year. The past two weeks and this evening included just throwing topwater lures on the shorelines in 2 feet of water has been consistently producing some nice fish in the 18" to 25" size. Live lining in the deeper choke points is producing some nice fat fish in the 25" to 34" size.
So with the nice weekend coming up, it would be a great time to head out and fish around Hoopers Island. Jon boats are perfect for this type of fishing. (The fish don't care what type of boat you fish from) Get out on the water and enjoy the fishing.
